VFS Global, in partnership with the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) of the Republic of South Africa and South African diplomatic missions in the United States, will introduce Temporary Enrolment Locations (TELs) to support South African citizens applying for passports, identity documents, and birth certificates.
VFS Global to Launch Temporary Enrolment Locations for South African Civic Services in the USA and Cayman Islands
The initiative aims to enhance convenience and accessibility by bringing passport and consular services closer to applicants’ places of residence. These temporary service points will enable eligible applicants to complete their applications without needing to travel long distances to existing centres. Additional TEL locations are being identified, with further announcements to follow.
The TELs will be available across multiple locations, including:
San Jose, California
San Francisco, California
Columbus, Ohio
Seattle, Washington
Salt Lake City, Utah
Portland, Oregon
Denver, Colorado
Cayman Islands
The schedule for these Temporary Enrolment Locations will be announced in advance. Applicants will be able to book appointments via the VFS Global website starting from 20 June, allowing them to select a convenient date and time.
