No matter where we settle in the United States, many South Africans have something in common. We miss the familiar taste of home, we enjoy hearing a South African accent unexpectedly, and we naturally look for ways to support one another. Yet despite living in an age where information is everywhere, it can still be surprisingly difficult to discover South African-owned businesses, community groups, events, and opportunities beyond our own local networks.That simple observation eventually became the inspiration for SaffasUS.While social media is wonderful for bringing people together, information quickly disappears as new posts replace old ones.
