Great meeting with senior leadership from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and VFS Global management today, to formally present consolidated feedback from the South African diaspora regarding the rollout of passport and civic services in the United States.
SACCUSA provided a comprehensive summary of community input, which was largely positive and complimentary of the professionalism, accessibility, and improved turnaround times experienced at VFS centres. In addition, we shared detailed user experiences along with practical recommendations aimed at further enhancing efficiency, communication, and outreach to underserved regions.
The engagement was constructive and solution-oriented. It also provided VFS Global with the opportunity to clarify key operational matters and highlight important information that should be better communicated to the diaspora community to manage expectations and improve understanding of processes.
