SACCUSA was honored to attend the official welcome reception hosted by Brand South Africa to welcome Bafana Bafana, Team South Africa, and visiting delegates to Atlanta and the United States ahead of South Africa’s only FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage match to be played on U.S. soil.

The evening brought together business leaders, government representatives, diplomats, community leaders, and distinguished guests in a celebration of South African pride, culture, and unity. We were privileged to join Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, former U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young, former U.S. Ambassador to South Africa Reuben Brigety, media pioneer Felicia Mabuza-Suttle, members of the King Family of Atlanta, and numerous dignitaries in extending a warm Atlanta welcome to Team South Africa.

The event provided an outstanding opportunity to strengthen relationships, showcase South Africa’s rich heritage, and highlight the enduring bonds between South Africa, Atlanta, and the United States.

As Bafana Bafana prepares to take the field, South Africans across America stand united behind our national team. We wish our players every success and know they will carry the hopes and pride of South Africans both at home and abroad.
