SACCUSA President Mr Neil Diamond joined Nelson Mandela Foundation CEO Dr Mbongiseni Buthelezi for a meeting with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, ahead of an exciting announcement about a special event to honour Nelson Mandela’s enduring legacy as a global icon of peace and reconciliation.
SACCUSA is proud to have invited the Nelson Mandela Foundation to Atlanta, building on the Foundation’s engagement with other major U.S. cities, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
As a city deeply rooted in the civil rights movement, Atlanta provides a meaningful setting to celebrate Madiba’s values of dignity, equality and dialogue. His example continues to inspire people across borders and generations to work towards a more inclusive and peaceful world.
We look forward to sharing more about this event soon as we strengthen the bonds between South Africa and the United States through our shared commitment to these ideals.
